REQUIREMENTS

Experience with

• The OPNET toolset
• Application troubleshooting, both performance degradation and outage
• TCP, network, and application analysis

Working understanding of

• Application architecture and basic functions of application tiers and technologies (web servers, application servers, database, authentication and infrastructure services, encryption)
• Packet capture tools
• Network analysis tools
• Network technologies
• Network topologies
• Configuring network devices

Minimum of 5 years of design, implementation and support of IT systems monitoring. Experience with the design on new monitoring capabilities. Experience with creating technical non-functional monitoring requirements. Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the following tools: HP BAC HP BPM HP Sitescope HP RUM HP Diagnostics HP TransactionVision HP Vugen HP QTP Gomez Compuware VantageAnalyzer Microsoft SCOM for Exchange IBM Tivoli ITM 5.1 & 6.2 IBM TEC IBM TEPS IBM ITCAMS Experience or knowledge of networking tools such as Lucent VitalSuite, Opnet and Nagios is not required but a plus. Experience with providing technical presentations to leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
